I got into an arguement today at school about which book was better: Harry Potter or Twilight. I fought against 4 girls, and me alone defending Harry Potter. After awhile, I got sick of them giving stupid reasons that Twilight is better, with things like "But Edward is SO hot", or "Jacob has a six-pack!". So, here I made a list of why Harry Potter is and always will be better than Twilight.
-Harry Potter is about bravery, overcoming fears, taking risk, while Twilight is about how important it is the have a boyfriend.
-Stupify. There. Edward's knocked out. Who's fast now, Cullen boy?
-Hermione can defend herself in a duel and is prepared whenever she needs to, but Bella can't even defend herself.
-Unlike Jacob, Harry doesn't take his shirt off to get attention from women. He has a natural charm.
-Twilight is an EPIC FAIL. Seriously? Sparkly Fairy Vampires? Shapeshifters? Harry Potter has REAL werewolves and vampires (I know vampires and werewolves don't exist, but if you're going to put in famous mythological creatures in your story, do it right!)
-Harry isn't overprotective of Ginny, but Edward has complete control of Bella.
-JK Rowling put her heart and soul into the HP series, having no home or paper to write on, (using only cafe napkins for paper) and raising a child all alone, but Stephenie Meyer came up with this terrible romance story about sparkly vampires.
-Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all loyal friends, but Bella's friends are just using her for popularity.
-Ron isn't posessive of Hermione, but Edward won't even let Bella go out and see her friends.
-TWILIGHT IS NOT REAL, SO GET OVER YOURSELVES, PEOPLE. AND US HARRY POTTER FANS ADMIT THAT HARRY POTTER IS A BOOK, AND WE FACE REALITY AND WE KNOW WE'LL NEVER GET TO MARRY HARRY, BECAUSE HE'S NOT REAL, UNLIKE OBSESSIVE TWILIGHT FANS WHO CAN'T SEEM TO GET A GRIP ON REALITY.
Point proven. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be listening to WizardRock like The Parselmouths and The Whomping Willows.
THE GRAPES ARE TALKING TO ME,
The Weird Owl
